Can I speak to Mike personally about our event? You can speak to Mike personally before you schedule him for an event. You can speak to Mike during your event preparation time. The office will gladly put Mike in touch with you before scheduling him, and you will receive a list of his private contact numbers after you schedule. Mike would welcome the opportunity to talk with you in preparation for the event. You are not just scheduling Mike, you are getting a wealth of information and very successful fundrasing experience along with him.
The Appeal Yes, Mike does the appeal! In fact that is what he is known for. You can rest assured that Mike will present an appeal that will deliver the maximum results without making your audience feel pushed or pressured. Your audience will most likely be smiling and laughing through the entire giving process. Mike will encourage your audience to give both in a monthly gift and a one time special gift to your organization. His ability to do this is why so many people have him return. Many groups have brought him back for nothing more than the appeal. This is his specialty!
Time Length Mike has delivered his program in as little as 10 minutes. His most effective time length is 50 minutes (including the appeal). The more time you can give him that better our event will be.

Successful Banquet Production Assistance Your banquet is possibly the most important fundraising event you will do all year. Please take it seriously. Videos Mike hosts a number of banquet training videos. He may request to shoot some video before your event to show to the other PRC's what you might have done with a table decoration, testimonies, banners, and basic set-up factors. Air Travel The office will book all of Mike's air travel. He usually arrives in the earlier part of the morning of your event to avoid any possible travel problems. You will receive one bill from his office for travel and the honorarium approximately a week before the event. You may chose to pay Mike on the night of the event or send him a check in the following days. Unless otherwise requested by the office, Mike will be renting a car so you can eliminate that from your to do list for the event day. This cost is already past of the travel cost and not an additional cost to you.
Audio Requirements Mike needs one microphone on a straight round based microphone stand. He will also need one additional microphone cable available for his use on stage. A mixer should be capable of giving two bands of e.q. per channel. Because of their problematic nature Mike asks that you do not use ceiling speakers for his portion of the event. A free standing set of speakers works best for his application. Please call Mike personally for more clarity on this before the event at 863-853-9857.
Lighting Mike will need to speak from a well lit platform area. Please make sure there is enough light in the platform area to be seen well above the light level of the room. This is important to every person communicating the night of your banquet.
Hotel Any safe hotel will be fine. Mike prefers Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, or Fairfield. His office will provide you with his corp numbers so you will get a discount at any of those chains. A hotel that is close to the airport, and away from the city center is best. If the event is held at a hotel, that hotel is best for Mike to stay at. Mike is not picky.
Event Information Packet Most organizations will have an information packet waiting at the hotel for Mike when he arrives. Please include a copy of the event time-line, and the stats for your group. The most important number that Mike needs is the total number of clients served by your organization in the past year. As you figure that number please be sure to count the unborn children too. If we do not count them, who will? Many people will put nutritional items in this packet as well. If you choose to do this, please limit it to sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, oranges, bananas, water, and one coca-cola for before the event. Think healthy! If you chose to not provide anything edible, that is fine as well. Mike is not picky! You will find him extremely easy to work with.
Details Mike will want to know your "hard stop" time for every event. In the rare case you are running late in progressing toward his part of the program, what time does your event need to end? Mike is very time conscience.
Personal Help Mike is willing and able to consult with you about your banquet at any time before, during, or after the event. Mike will help you have a very successful banquet.
Have I seen Mike somewhere before? Mike is the same guy who did the Fundrasing Banquet teaching and Speech writing workshops for CareNet in 2008 in Atlanta. He will be teaching their Understanding Your Donor workshop in Texas in 2010. Mike is considered a bit of an expert in this field to say the least.
